What a house wash should do
Lift the build-up without being rough on the home.
A house wash should make the place feel looked after again. That means clearing the mould, grime, road film and cobwebs that collect on cladding, trim, eaves and sheltered corners—not simply pointing high pressure at the wall.
We first check what the exterior is made from, how the paint or coating is holding up and where access is tight. Then we choose a controlled approach for those surfaces and explain any areas that need extra care.

We check the surface, the paint and the access.
Weatherboards, plaster, brick and modern claddings do not all respond the same way. Faded paint, loose coatings and older sealants also change what a sensible clean looks like.
We also plan around planting, decks, outdoor furniture and neighbouring areas. We will tell you what needs moving or closing before the work is booked.
A good result starts with a careful look around.

How often should a house be washed in Auckland?
There is no honest one-size-fits-all answer. Shade, trees, coastal air, road exposure and cladding all affect how quickly grime and organic growth return. We can suggest a sensible interval after seeing the home.
Is house washing the same as water blasting?
No. Water blasting is useful on some hard surfaces, while painted cladding and other exterior finishes often call for a gentler, controlled method.
Can you wash a house before painting?
Yes. Tell us you are preparing to paint, because a pre-paint wash has a different purpose from a normal maintenance clean and needs to fit your painter’s preparation schedule.
Can gutters and windows be included?
Yes. Point out the gutters and windows during the same visit. We list them separately in the scope so there is no confusion about what the house wash includes.
